Reader, today we hit 33k on Threads and over 190 of you have joined this diary in ONE week.
I have been sitting with that feeling all morning. Just really grateful.
Then this notification popped up on my phone.
And I immediately knew what I wanted to write about in today's diary.
Because hitting this milestone made me think about everything it actually took to get here. The years before any of this existed.
The fear I carried the whole way through. 😅
So, that's what I want to talk about below...
During the hardest months of building this business I used to have nightmares that it had all fallen apart.
That I had to move back into my old tiny studio, alone, and go back to night shifts at the hotel reception desk.
Sitting there by myself in the dark with the feeling of my life just passing by.
I still get those dreams sometimes, even now.
But here's what I know after all of these years of building.
Your dream life is 90% mindset and 10% strategy.
I really believe that, because mindset drives everything.
You can hand two women the exact same strategy, the same playbooks, the same tools, the same tactics.
Only the one with the belief, the discipline and the emotional commitment to her vision will actually turn it into something real.
I know because I was that woman who had nothing but belief.
I was a hotel receptionist with no handouts and no fancy degree, building this in my second language.
No head start, no safety net, nothing. 😐
But I went ahead and started anyway.
And every single hard month I just kept thinking... well I already started. I might as well become insanely successful now rather than quit.
That's the thing, I never let quitting be an option.
Things can be hard and building a business takes time and achieving any kind of dream in life takes longer than you think it should.
But you can only master your goals by doing, improving and becoming 1% better every single day.
And if there's one thing I want you to take from my story today it's this...
It's just as easy to imagine yourself wildly successful as it is to imagine yourself failing.
Both take the same mental energy. One of them is just far more interesting.
That said, you can have the laptop lifestyle and the travels. The mornings without an alarm.
A blog and email list that pays your bills while you sleep. Working from your sofa or a beach cafe or wherever feels like freedom to you.
These aren't for some special category of people Reader.
They're for you.
And the belief that you can actually do it? That part is yours to choose.
"I choose to imagine myself wildly successful and I choose it every single day."

💭 The blog vs Substack debate! I've gotten this question about 47 times this month so I wrote up the honest pros and cons of each.
