how to start your Carrie Bradshaw era

Reader, I started rewatching SATC again last night for the 40th time maybe.

And I told myself okay I NEED to write about this today.

I have been a fan since I was 12 years old, probably should not have been watching it at that age but here we are. 😎

And I always loved the same thing about it.

Not the drama, not even the fashion, but the lifestyle. The feeling of sitting at a cafe or a comfy apartment, typing, and calling it work.

And somewhere in my early 30s I looked around and realized, wait...

I kind of built this. 🤔

Not the $700 Manhattan apartment or the Vogue column, but the same FEELING.

Rice fields outside the window instead of skyscrapers. Iced latte instead of a cosmopolitan.

Getting paid to write with zero reels in sight.

Part of my childhood dream came true and I built it with an email list and a blog.

So if that is not the most Carrie Bradshaw thing ever I do not know what is.

And the thing is, nobody told me this was even possible.

I spent three years before this posting b-rolls for gurus who promised it would work. Three years I will never get back. 😂

Writing did what reels never could.

And I wrote a whole blog post about how you can build your own Carrie Bradshaw era too.

You can read all the good stuff here.

Yeah, Carrie was fictional. But getting paid to write from anywhere in the world, that part is very real.

And this diary is proof of it. 🤍

Pst. Something I've been working on is almost ready and I'm going to spill the tea next week, but I will leave you with one word...

Unfiltered. 🔐
