Reader, almost 300 new beautiful women joined this diary in the past week and I am honestly still pinching myself. π
I am sitting in our winter cottage right now with a new tea I just bought myself, wrapped in a blanket, watching this whole wave of growth happen in real time.
It feels surreal.
And it got me thinking about something I have been wanting to say for a while now. β¬οΈ
β
I genuinely believe and I know some people will disagree with me on this but...
You do *not* need to step outside your comfort zone to build your dream life and business.
I know. I know.
Every business coach, every online guru, every motivational post tells you the opposite. π
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Do the scary thing. Post the talking reel even when you are terrified. Show up on camera even when you hate it.
Push through the anxiety because that is just what growth feels like.
I completely disagree.
I spent 3 years forcing myself to do something that felt deeply wrong for me.
Filming reels, talking to the camera, trying to look and sound a certain way, performing a version of myself that was not even me lol...
I was anxious the whole time. Burnt out. Getting nowhere. πΆ
And guess what? my business didn't take off during those years.
Because you cannot thrive when you are constantly doing something that makes you feel terrible inside.
The moment I stopped and just started writing instead, my whole life changed because of it.
Writing just feels like me, my nervous system calms down, my ideas start flowing and I actually enjoy it, which never once happened with video content.
And I genuinely believe that is the *whole* foundation of building something successful.
Not hustle, not pushing through discomfort, but finding the thing that actually feels good to you. βοΈ
Because when you feel good inside, everything else follows.
And I think the world is starting to catch up to this.
The internet is exhausted from 10 second videos and highlight reels. Women are unsubscribing from influencers and subscribing to newsletters instead.
They want depth, they want honesty, they want something that actually stays with them longer than a scroll.
That being said, real connection is making a comeback and writing is right at the centre of it.
So if you have been told you need to be be loud on camera to build trust and grow a community online, maybe that is just not your path.
Maybe your path is quieter. A dream blog, an email list, words that keep working long after you write them.
That was my path. βπ»
And I am writing this from a winter cottage in messy hair and socks with a cup of tea, booking a 2nd trip for 2026 and making more than I ever did at my old hotel job.
Comfortable, calm and completely on purpose.
So, what I want you to take from today is this... whatever you are building, it should feel like home. Not something you have to push through every single day.
Because you simply cannot build your dream life from a place that makes you feel uncomfortable inside. π
