"What would I actually do if I had to build a writing based income from scratch in 90 days?"
I have been thinking about this a lot lately, so let me just tell you. ⬇️
Around year ago when I hit my first 80+ email subscribers I already had my first paying customer, and I remember staring at my screen thinking... wait, this actually works.
Now, close to 200 women have invested in my resources since that moment.
BUT I want to be honest with you.
I had years of trial and error behind me before that moment.
So I am not going to tell you that you can start an email list on Monday and be making money by Friday.
That is not how this works and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.
But in 90 days? You can get very, very far.
Here is what I would do...
📝 I would get really clear on what I want to write about aka the thing I know well, the problem I have already solved for myself, the question I get asked over and over.
That is usually where the answer lives.
And then I would get crystal clear on exactly who I am writing FOR. Not just "women entrepreneurs or moms", I mean really clear.
What does she want, what does she struggle with, what has she tried that has not worked? The more specific you get about her, the easier everything else becomes.
Most people skip this and then wonder why nothing is clicking.
🖇 Secondly, I would create a simple free resource to start building my email list and then grow it through Threads.
"But why Threads Rrona?" you might ask.
Because majority of the 3000+ email subscribers I have now came from Threads, for FREE.
No ring lights or reels needed, it's aaaalll written content. 😅
💌 Then, I would send weekly emails to those subscribers the way I write these diaries. Personal, honest, like I am talking to one woman over coffee.
That is what makes people trust you enough to eventually invest in what you have built.
💰 And lastly, I would launch my own paid offer for those subscribers before I felt ready, because I always have. Every single thing I have put out into the world I launched before I felt completely ready.
And every single time I was glad I did, because waiting for the perfect moment is how years disappear.
The women writing from cafes, funding their summers through their laptops, sending emails that people actually want to read... they all started before they felt ready too. 🤍
90 days of focused building is how it starts, Reader.
